All tents have their own private river frontage with a viewing deck from where hippo and crocodile are regularly seen. Also occasionally elephants wander past to drink the water. With a veranda overlooking the hippo and crocodile-filled river, each of the 50 tents at Fairmont Mara Safari Club is superbly furnished with its own private, three-piece bathroom, including a number of "outdoor showers" in select tents. Day 8: Masai Mara-Nairobi-Depart Home
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi. We’ll take you on a picnic trip to Lake Naivasha and its surrounding. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. There are over 450 species in the immediate area including the highland escarpments, which surround the lake to the south and west.

mt kilimanjaroLake Naivasha is a recreational center; there is a flourishing yacht club and many private cabin cruisers and other boats for fishing. All the land surrounding the lake is in private hands so access to the water has to be through the grounds of the hotels on the south-east shore or by the consent of local landowners. You can book boat trips into the lake (at your own cost).

Complementary lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (paid by Adventure African Jungle Ltd).

Mid afternoon, go to the nearby Mount Longonot, which you can climb as you take photos. Continue with your journey to Nairobi, arriving mid afternoon. Transfer to the famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi for a complementary farewell dinner (paid by Adventure African Jungle Ltd). Later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your evening international flight home.
