EG 12: 11 Nights/ 12 Days Nile Cruise Sail & Ancient Egypt Tour

Day 1: Cairo

Our representative will receive you at Cairo International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo – Pyramids Tour

You will begin today by visiting Memphis & Sakarra; your private Egyptologist tour guide will take you on a 22-miles journey south of Cairo where some of the oldest pyramids and a complex burial site for more than twenty pharaohs are found. Next, you will visit the newly opened Pyramid of Dahshour.

After lunch, a short drive brings you to Giza. Here you marvel at the Pyramids, including Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Coming face-to-face with the Sphinx, who has been staring into the desert for five-thousand years, is an awesome experience.

Overnight in Cairo

Day 3: Cairo – Museum Tour

Visit the Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo: Visit Old Cairo and the Old Coptic Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue to the Mohamad Ali Mosque and the streets of Khan el Khalili Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4: Cairo – Aswan – Nile Cruise

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for flight to Aswan, You will be met by our representative, fly 556 miles/926 km up the Nile Valley to the lovely resort town of Aswan.

Transfer to your Cruise in time for lunch. In the afternoon, board a felucca and sail right across the blue waters of the river. En route a rounding, see the ancient “Nilometer” on Elephantine Island, Kitchener Island’s lush botanical gardens, and the Aga Khan Mausoleum on the left bank. Dinner & Overnight on-board the Cruise.

Day 5: Aswan – Kom Ombo

Excursion to the Old Dam and the Aswan High Dam. Stop at the ancient granite quarries to see the famous unfinished obelisk. Start your leisurely cruise down Egypt’s river of destiny. Dock at Kom Ombo for a short walk to its bluff-top temple dedicated to the crocodile and falcon gods. Sailing night to Edfu. Dinner & Overnight on-board the Cruise.

Day 6: Edfu – Luxor

Arrive in Edfu early morning, free for relaxing and swimming with the magnificent sight of Nile. Afternoon sailing towards Esna Luck. Tonight you dock at Luxor. Dinner & Overnight on-board the Cruise.

Day 7: Luxor

Cross to the west bank of the Nile and visit the wondrous Valley of the Kings. Visit two tombs, continue to visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple and take some photos for the Colossus of Memnon. The afternoon is taking a walk on Nile shore, then visit Luxor Temple. Dinner & Overnight on-board the Cruise.

Day 8: Luxor

This afternoon, look forward to a grand start to sightseeing in the Nile Valley. See the stunning monuments of Luxor and Karnak Temples. Dinner & Overnight on-board the Cruise.

Day 9: Luxor – Edfu

Sailing as you see white-clad farmers with their donkeys, camels, and water buffaloes work lush green fields. Arrive in Edfu late evening.

Day 10: Edfu – Kom Ombo

Early breakfast. Board a horse-drawn carriage for the Temple of Houres. After lunch continue our sunset sailing, dock in front of Kom Ombo Temple for a pictures or walking tour through the Kom Ombo market. Returning to the boat and sailing towards Aswan. Dinner & Overnight on-board the Cruise.

Day 11: Aswan – Cairo

Visit the twin temples of Ramses II and his queen Nefertari with their facades of colossal statues. After breakfast, disembark this morning, you will be met by our Aswan representative and transferred to Aswan Airport. Fly back to Cairo. Then transfer to you Cairo hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 12: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
