In Kenya, you’ll do wildlife safari and stay at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, a sheltered oasis in the heart of a private Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Mt Kenya, offering all the luxury and special touches you would expect for your honeymoon in Kenya. Each of the 39 luxury tents are spread across the plains of Mount Kenya, each boasting a private veranda with safari chairs and tables, from which you can enjoy a lovely watering hole vista. Dining takes place in the Rhino Dining Room, which has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the watering hole.

You’ll also stay at the world-famous Treetops Lodge, nestled deep in the indigenous forests Aberdares National Park. This lodge is famous for its historical British royal connection. One afternoon in February of 1952, a young English girl climbed the fig tree as a Princess.  The following morning, she descended as Queen Elizabeth II – her father, King George VI, had died in the night.

Day 1: Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya for your honeymoon package to Zanzibar! Our Kenyan representative will receive you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to Safari Park Hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Samburu – Sweetwaters (Mt Kenya)

After breakfast, depart for Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in the exclusive Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Mt Kenya region. Lunch at your camp. You can do day and night game drives around the private conservancy, which is home for the members of the “Big Five” (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard).

The conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Day 3: Mt Kenya – Aberdares

After breakfast, depart for the nearby Aberdares National Park. Access to the park with private vehicles is limited to conserve and protect the environment and wildlife.

At Outspan Hotel in Nyeri, you’ll board a Treetops Lodge van for transfer to their lodge. The Treetops Lodge overlooks two waterholes and a salt lick, both of which attract a great variety of animals. On clear days you can even see the snowy peaks of Mount Kenya.

The lodge boasts two photographic hides at ground level – a great way to get up close shots of unsuspecting rhinos, elephants, bucks or even lions. It has 4 decks and a rooftop-viewing platform. There’s even the option to be woken by an experienced hunter if one of the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard or rhino) visits during the night! Coffee and liqueurs are served in the comfortable lounge, which features picture windows and trees growing through the building.

Day 4: Aberdares – Nairobi – Zanzibar

After breakfast at your lodge, you’ll be transferred back to Outspan Hotel in Treetops Lodge van. Reconnect with your driver/guide and then depart for Nairobi through Central Kenya. Stop at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi for complementary lunch (paid by Adventure African Jungle Ltd).

Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your 1840hrs Kenya Airways flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at Zanzibar Airport at 2220hrs, pick up and transfer to Karafuu Beach Resort & Spa, one of the most luxurious hotels on the east coast of Zanzibar. On arrival at the hotel, you’ll receive a complementary fruit & flowers basket and a bottle of wine. Accommodation will be in a cottage room on half board (breakfast and dinner).

Day 5-10: Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Spend the whole days sunbathing in the white sand beach or book watersports, Sunset cruises, snorkeling, scuba diving or boat trips through your hotel. Optional excursion to Stone town, Prison Island and Spice tours can be arranged through your hotel.

Day 11: Zanzibar – Nairobi – Depart Home

The check policy is at 1000hrs. Transfer to Zanzibar Airport to catch your 1630hrs Kenya Airways flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, arriving in Nairobi at 1810hrs. Connect your international flight home.
