SA 03: 13 Nights/14 Days Kruger, Victoria Falls and Okavango Delta

Day 1: Cultural Village, South Africa

Departing Johannesburg we travel South Africa’s Panoramic Route, stopping at God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Blyde River Canyon. Tonight we spend the night at the Shangaan Tribal Village where we do a guided tour, eat a traditional meal in the boma, and watch tribal dancing around the campfire.

Days 2 -3: Kruger National Park, South Africa

Early morning we enter the Kruger Park and begin our game drives through Big Five territory, trying to spot as much wildlife as possible. Kruger offers fantastic game viewing all year round. Our days are spent on game drives and evenings around the campfire. One evening we do a night drive to see the nocturnal habits of the creatures that inhabit the park.

Day 4: Pietersburg, South Africa

The morning is spent in search of any game we are yet to spot. We then exit the Park making our way to Pietersburg, where we set up camp for the night.

Day 5: Nata, Botswana

This morning we cross into Botswana and continue northwards to Nata where we set up camp on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans.

Days 6- 7: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

We head to Victoria Falls, or Mosi au Tunya (the smoke that thunders). After setting up camp we embark on a sunset game viewing cruise on the Zambezi River. You can visit the Falls, shop in the markets, and have a free day to do the many activities including bungy jumping, rafting, micro lighting, “Flight of Angels” and more.

Day 8: Chobe, Botswana

After a free morning in Victoria Falls, we make the short journey back into Botswana, to Kasane where we camp on the banks of the Chobe River. This afternoon there is an optional river cruise for game viewing.

Day 9: Maun, Botswana

Early morning we head off on a game drive inside Chobe for more game viewing. After a late breakfast we depart for Maun, the gateway to the Delta. In Maun we prepare for our Delta excursion tomorrow. You may also visit nearby Crocodile Farm.

Day 10-12: Okavango Delta, Botswana

We venture into the wild bush of Africa where we are joined by the local villagers in mokoros (2 man dug out canoes). Drifting through the waterways we begin our search for the wildlife that inhabits the Delta and set up camp on one of the many islands. We do game walks and will also have the opportunity to visit a village. On the last afternoon we return to Maun.

Day 13: Francistown, Botswana

After an optional game flight over the Delta, we make our way to Francistown, where we spend our final evening.

Day 14: Johannesburg, South Africa

We take a relaxing drive back to Gauteng.
